DV Cleared Site Reliability Engineer (Cheltenham)
Rate: £500 to £650 per day (outside of IR35)
Location: Hybrid working in Cheltenham with possible 24/7 call out when on rota
Security Clearance: Must have live DV Clearance
About the Role:
TwinStream DevOps engineers work within and support agile delivery teams by reducing the feedback time between identifying a change and it adding value to our clients. With a focus on continuous improvement, this role extends beyond automation to include designing, building, testing, and maintaining the infrastructure, tools, and practices that facilitate the efficient development, deployment, and management of a distributed microservice-based security platform.
Responsibilities:
Manage the current platform infrastructure.
Oversee the existing code deployment pipelines.
Ensure the safety and security of our infrastructure and data.
Maintain all cloud tools used in the production environment.
Support product teams with relevant insights regarding infrastructure evolution and needs.
Recommend improvements to the current setup.
Key Skills:
Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (CentOS, Red Hat, Ubuntu).
Experience in building scalable and automated cloud platforms on AWS.
Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible).
Knowledge of containerisation technologies and orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, ECS).
Experience with Jenkins pipelines.
Advocacy for best practices and familiarity with tools that support them.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
Ability to work independently as a self-starter to identify and solve problems.
Solid understanding of monitoring, auto-scaling, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery best practices.
Experience building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines.
Proven experience deploying full-stack solutions to cloud infrastructure.
Comprehensive experience in implementing Service Reliability processes.
Understanding of agile software development principles and practices, with the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
