This is an exciting opportunity to join Cavendish Nuclear as a Surveyor. We are part of the FTSE 250 defence and engineering global organisation Babcock International and are based at a number of sites in the UK and overseas. Our business continues to win new work and grow at a significant pace; as a result, we are looking to recruit enthusiastic Surveyors to work on joining the team tasked with the construction of Hinkley Point C.
Who we are looking for?
We are looking for a Qualified Surveyor with construction experience and who will want to be a part of this economically and environmentally sound project.
What will you be doing?
• Ensure all surveying activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with the CDM Regulations
• Provide input for progress reporting on surveying activities within the Erection Area
• Review any supplied setting out data to check design co-ordinates against the site grid system to ensure compatibility
• To provide quality checks on control set ups and point accuracy
• Use of core experience & surveying skills to assess practicalities and dimensional control associated with surveying activities
• Provide dimensional control during the erection of equipment
The experience you’ll bring
• Mechanical or electrical degree or similar qualification
• Ability to use survey equipment and interpret its output
• Engineering background required
• Knowledge of CDM regulation
• Experience as an on-site surveyor
• Experienced in working in a Joint Venture or Alliance environment
• Starnet experience desired
