At L3Harris in Brighton we are part of Release Systems and the Mission Avionics sector operating in the Aerospace domain. We specialise in high performance electro-mechanical systems and pneumatic technology for airborne weapon carriage release.
This is a hybrid role with some working from home available but mostly will be based onsite in Brighton due to the coordination and liaison needed between departments and stakeholders.

What the role will involve


If you’re invited to join our team of dedicated experts, the responsibilities of your role will include the following:
• Working with our Project Teams to define and manage procurement plans & strategies in collaboration with wider Supply Chain team.
• Generating robust material recurring cost models, and non-recurring cost including timing for all elements of product(s) lifecycle.
• Collaborate with wider Supply Chain team to ensure that suppliers to the projects are managed in line with plan & strategies.
• Developing sourcing work packages to select suppliers and development needs to deliver requirements including contract flow down.
• Support the Supply Chain team in monitoring, reporting, and driving improvement on manufacturing supply chain KPIs.
• Identifying and communicating opportunities to develop services value streams.
• Oversee and support the supply chain activity related to design, build and testing of products/services within the program.
• Ensuring suitable suppliers are engaged to provide subsystem products/services in support of the overall program, through working collaboratively with the Category Managers.

What you’ll bring


The role of Supply Chain Lead requires the following experience and skills:
• Comprehensive knowledge of the role sourcing and tendering play within the wider strategic procurement process.
• Routinely responsible for higher level projects (goods, commodities, services, or estate works) and the use of innovative tools e.g. e-tenders, reverse auctions appropriately.
• Supports customer development of complex specifications and can incorporate these into an appropriate tenders & RFQ's.
• Fully understands, can articulate, and enact the principles of a strategic procurement approach.
• Strong track record in the development of successful business cases and able to recommend and advise on appropriate approach for business case development
• Able to sets direction for total cost decisions and work to enhance current positions through application and development of new total lifecycle costing techniques.
• Ability to decide at a strategic level the use of suppliers in the supply chain and develops strategic supply chains that optimise stockholding costs whilst providing appropriate service level availability.
• Proficient Data Anaysis and Project Management skills to utilise when required
• An expertise in customer relationship management and ability to utilise relationship management techniques and builds implicit trust with the customer base. Ability to handle complex multi-customer issues that encroach on a number of areas and develop partnerships between internal and external customers.
