About the Consultant - Solutions Designer position

The Solutions architect can work both independently or as part of a broader team to deliver modern secure cloud based architectures and data centric solutions for our clients. Typical projects can include:

• Design and implementation of a cloud based data platform on Azure
• Understanding of data migration to the cloud and approaches
• Legacy system decommissioning and data platform modernisation (Cloud adoption frameworks)
• Design and implementation of a cloud based data warehouse, data lake house or data lake
• Integration of cloud based solutions with cloud and on premise data providers

In addition, you will be expected to support the growth of the company by contributing to our knowledge base and IP, managing and mentoring junior consultants, and supporting sales and bid work.

Must have skills and competencies

• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to express technical concepts and issues into user friendly language
• Experience of the design and implementation of data solutions such as data warehouses, data lakes, analytic platforms etc.
• Knowledge of business analysis techniques, with a focus on requirements capture and analysis
• SDLC methodologies, preferably Agile
• Practical knowledge of informatica technologies like Informatica Powercentre, DEI/BDM.
• Streamsets and Kafka
• Some experience of logical and physical data modelling
• Ability to understand complex data requirements and challenge assumptions
• Self motivated willing to drive the work forward on their own initiative

Nice to have skills and competencies

• Experience and understanding of MongoDB, Hadoop, AWS
• Previous working experience within the Financial services space
