Your future duties and responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Manager to work on a major Local Government IT programme based in Liverpool. You will be a critical member of the team working to deliver and influence IT security on this prestigious programme.

 You will be comfortable operating and influencing at the highest levels in both the client and, when necessary, at UK Board level within CGI. You will need to be self-assured and able to operate with the appropriate gravitas in a client environment as the “face of CGI Cyber”. You will need to liaise with the client’s key security managers and team as well as colleagues from within CGI’s Cyber practice to deliver the IT Security required.
 Manage client engagement at Senior Security Level overseeing a team of Security Consultants and managing the operation day to day.
 Manage projects and clients from concept through to completion, including delivering internal security programmes
 Strong communicator capable of delivery a future strategy plan whilst enhancing existing client relationships through SME knowledge.
 You may also need to work with our internal Cyber team to allocate additional resources and specialist skills in areas such as pen testing, risk analysis, forensic incident handling and business continuity in order to provide the best service for our client.

 As our Senior Security Manager your main day to day role will be ensuring that the IT security controls and protocols in place on the programme are fully adhered to, along with strategy planning for future.
 You’ll need to be able to influence and guide key stakeholders at all levels to adopt and adhere to security changes and standards to drive a best in class approach to security on the programme.
 You will be responsible for all decisions around assurance / architecture.
 Managing a team of Cyber Security Consultants to manage the day to day operation.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

 You should have demonstrable experience and a successful proven track record in delivering Senior Security Management ideally gained from operating in a Government environment.
 You will need excellent security knowledge being an SME within Security Assurance/architecture.
 You will Ideally have a CCP SIRA or a CISSP and be happy to go through the CCP SIRA
 Detailed knowledge of data protection regulations
 Knowledge of standards related to implementing a risk management framework including COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001/2 and NIST.
