The Role:
As a Scrum Master, you will join one of our small, fast-paced, agile delivery teams; using agile methodology and DevOps techniques to build backend systems, data processing pipelines, and progressive web apps for customers in the UK Government and Defence sector. The list below gives a flavour of some of the tasks you may be asked to undertake:
- Ensures the team lives agile values and principles
- Follow the processes and practices within agile, choosing the best methodology for the team
- Leads from a position of influence, often taking a servant-leadership stance
- Clearing obstacles, establishing an environment where the team can be effective
- Addressing team dynamics, ensuring a good relationship between the team and product owner as well as others outside the team
- Protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions

- Contemporary software engineering including selection and application of appropriate technology and patterns
- Confidence developing full-stack solutions as a polyglot developer/engineer
- Working with high-level stakeholders -both internally and externally
- Agile environments using methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
- Ability to organise and prioritise requirements
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
- Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
