Purpose of role


The Proposals Manager will work as part of the Land Future Business Team, supporting the Proposals Management Lead in the application of best practice in proposals management and bid writing throughout the Sector. This will include the development and application of robust proposal strategies, planning, development, and reviews for major opportunities.

 

Main tasks


•    Develop and implement effective proposal strategies and management plans
•    Develop, review, and challenge the articulation of clear win themes based on emerging win strategies and value propositions
•    Ensure proposals best reflect the benefits and value offering to customers
•    Drive a structured and consistent approach to answer planning, including enhancing techniques used and working with teams to structure complex requirements
•    Implement best practice in the planning, facilitation, and value of proposal reviews, undertaking the role of facilitator and reviewer as appropriate
•    Provide proposal management insights in to opportunity qualification
•    Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives in proposals
•    Participate in strategy and competitor analysis workshops
•    Support the development of competitor ghosting
•    Ensure written proposals are aligned to commercial offers
•    Writing of compelling executive summaries
•    Undertaking bid writing duties as required
•    Coach bid managers, bid writers, and SMEs on developing effective proposals and written responses

 

What do I need to do the role? 
Qualifications and experience


•    Business winning professional with extensive proposals management experience on major bids. 
•    Experience of proposals management within service-based industries in both public and private sector.
•    Track record of coaching others in proposals and bid writing
•    Educated to degree level
•    APMP qualification
