An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Counter Terrorism Case Officer to join the East Midlands Specialist Operations Unit (EMSOU) as part of the Counter Terrorism Policing team. This role will be based at Lincolnshire HQ. As a Counter Terrorism Case Officer, you will be responsible for the investigation of Prevent related cases and liaising with partner agencies to safeguard vulnerable people.
What you’ll be doing:
- Disrupt extremist activity through the application of problem-solving methodology.
- Work with communities, agencies and groups to develop intelligence and better inform the assessment of threat and risk.
- To manage a Prevent case workload and to support the Prevent strategy of CONTEST connecting communities and policing.
The must haves:
- We are looking for a candidate with good communication skills to engage with our network partners and manage their own workload with minimum supervision.
- The successful applicant will need experience of dealing with diversity issues and working in diverse communities.
- You must also have an understanding of the remit of Counter Terrorism Policing.

Salary: - £30,468 - £37,692
For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
Security Requirements
Security is of paramount importance to us due to the nature of the role. You need to be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years. Exemptions apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government) and studying abroad. You will be required to successfully pass and maintain the relevant security clearance in order to perform the role.
Please note that the working location is fixed at Lincolnshire Police Headquarters.
