We have a great opportunity for a Mechanical / Process Plant & Equipment Commissioning Manager.
About the project
- The project is delivering new specialist workshop facilities of national strategic importance
- The project has reached the critical commissioning stage
- The project is being managed by Costain as Construction Manager to very exacting standards of installation, testing and commissioning
- We are managing the commissioning on behalf of the Client
- We have a group of 10 Commissioning Managers covering all systems to be delivered included the system full integrated testing
Key responsibilities
- Lead, manage and witness the commissioning of critical equipment
- Review and comment on Contractors test documentation
- Understand Nuclear Safety Requirements and the evidence required to demonstrate their delivery
- Work well as a team member to deliver the commissioning activities and the associated documentation
- Advise contractors on the effective commissioning of process plant and equipment
- Manage the delivery of contractor test documentation
- Advise, check and comment on contractors proposed test documentation
- Witness on-site and off-site testing for and on behalf of the Client
- Report on commissioning progress
About you
The successful candidate will be:
- Experienced in the commissioning of Nuclear Safety Process Plant & Equipment
- Knowledgeable in equipment testing regulations PUWER etc
- Experienced at producing commissioning reports and test documentation
- Good at creating a working team approach between the Client, Contractors and Client Maintenance Team
- Familiar with good training practices
- Good at delivering complex commissioning activities to programme
