IP Architect – 24/7 Cover

Location: Farnborough/Bristol/Oxford (4 days a week in office)

What will you be doing?   

We have an exciting role for an IP network architect to join a major new project where you will be responsible for providing developing and delivering specialist networks advise. 

The role will involve identifying customer technical and business requirements and translating them into sustainable network designs as well as consulting with technical teams about capabilities and supporting the project team throughout the project lifecycle.

 

• Act as the lead technical IP networks advisor to the project team providing specialist technical expertise across IP networking technologies
• Develop and deliver professional proposals and design documentation to the customer and internal teams
• Support the delivery of network solutions combining multiple IP based products and technologies
• Manage key suppliers and vendors

 

Who are we looking for?  

• Substantial experience of network design, development and implementation
• A comprehensive technical knowledge of IP, MPLS, encryption and network security technologies
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills with the capability to communicate concisely and effectively
• Hands on experience of Cisco switching, routing and security products and Nokia 7750SR platform (or experience of other vendor based MPLS network products)
• Experience of deploying managed encryption services
