CGIs Secure Space Systems business is looking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic and capable business growth specialist.
Successful candidates will be responsible for the identification, development and successful closure of strategic new business within CGI’s Secure Space Systems business area, specifically in the military space sector. You will be a highly driven and creative individuals with the ability to manage activities to identify and create new business revenue growth with clients and run strategic campaigns into nominated high-growth areas as appropriate.
The successful director of consulting services will become part of the business area leadership team, will lead bid teams and be able to work effectively across technical, financial and commercial pillars to develop winning proposals for our clients.
You will continue to work with our clients during project delivery, overseeing elements of delivery and client engagement, to build the client relationship whilst identifying new requirements and business opportunities. Initiative and communications skills are essential components of this role, as well as a flexible and collaborative approach.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Define, develop and own key target customer relationships and customer engagement strategies.
• Engage early in the business development cycle with senior level customer representatives to influence strategy and increase the chance of both qualifying in and winning.
• Position CGI and create the opportunity to differentiate.
• Successfully qualify opportunities early on in the bid cycle to optimise use of resources and focus on bids where the chances of success are strongest.
• Understand the customer’s business and align CGI propositions to create new opportunities.
• Create and then lead pursuit teams (covering bid management, solution, finance, operations and delivery).
• Develop relationships with key partners that will assist in business growth.
• Ensure high quality delivery that achieves client satisfaction and loyalty to CGI.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Space sector insight and track record, ideally including involvement in industry trade committees and working groups
• Recent track record of developing business with the MoD / RAF / Strategic Command
• Sound understanding of UK’s ambitions for the space sector (civil, commercial and military)
• A demonstrable track record of sales growth and business development, ideally within an Independent Software Vendor (ISV), IT Services Company or Satellite Systems Prime.
• Proven track-record of achieving new business objectives and delivering profitable business outcomes.
• Self-sufficient and results driven, excited by the prospect of playing an important role in growing the business.
• Good leadership skills in managing, motivating and coaching.
• Strong presentation, interpersonal and influencing skills.
Desirable:
• A proven track record of working in a technical or project management role in the space domain
• An interest in marketing and an active social media presence in the space industry
• Previous track record of working with the European Space Agency
• Previous track record of software development (e.g. Java, C++, Python), IT infrastructure and/or IT service delivery
