Data Architect

Position Description:

Due to increased client demands CGI are currently looking for a Data Architect with experience or a interest in Defence to come and join our agile project team delivering a Cyber Security Solution to our defence client.

Individuals can either be based out of Reading or Chippenham office and can expect a mix of on-site and remote working.

All successful applicants must hold, or be eligible & willing to obtain, UK SC clearance with the view to progressing to higher level clearance if required

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Provide technical advice & oversight in designing, developing and deploying different Data solutions
• Work closely with agile team members to collaborate and influence development
• Work independently in a fast paced and changing environment
• Take account of project specific requirements

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Experience in Security architecture creation
• Experience in PKI
• Previous experience within producing evidence to support accreditation (experience of that at higher security tiers)
• Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux)
• Virtualisation
• Experience in data modelling techniques
• A understanding of Hadoop/big data in general
