Your future duties and responsibilities:

 As Cyber Security Consultant, you will work with design, implementation and operational teams to ensure and assure the secure operation of service solutions, and work with client stakeholders to report on and manage security risks.

 You will work heavily around Assurance with and consult on solutions and services tailored to a deep understanding of our client's needs. You will advise our government clients on the governance and security management of their secure business systems. Example roles include security manager on programmes of works collaborating across enterprises to produce end-to-end security solutions.

 Your knowledge and skills will be used to assist on bids, proposal for works, as well as on implementations and integrations. You will also be expected to represent us at senior stakeholder level and, as a Cyber Security expert, help to guide and influence our clients through their security issues to practical consultative solutions using your comprehensive cyber assurance experience and technical knowledge required to deliver ongoing assurance requirements on government projects.

 As a Security Consultant at CGI you’ll join a team of 200 Cyber Security professionals in the UK, working on major programmes where security is critical, including Defence Information Infrastructure, Police National Database, Galileo, and Smart Metering. At CGI we’re not tied to having to push particular security products, so this means that our consultants have the freedom to work closely with clients to develop appropriate design solutions to align with their security needs. In addition to being able to collaborate with our UK based consultants you’ll also have access to over 1200 Cyber Security professionals within CGI worldwide. This will enable you to help provide innovative security solutions fully focused and tailored to our client’s needs. Our Cyber team cover all aspects of security and provide our clients with a one shop stop for all their security needs. This means you'll be involved in true end to end security solutions and delivery. You will get exposure to areas such as GDPR, risk management, identity management, regulatory compliance, SOC and Advanced Threat Analysis, secure design and operation of business systems, technology supporting fraud detection and data protection, and cutting edge security product deployment and operation.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

o In depth knowledge of government security standards and processes such as ISO27001 standards, CEF, Cyber Essentials, NIST & Cyber Essentials Plus.
o An understanding of Risk Management and the management thereof
o A clear understanding of the ISMS, its production and maintenance
o Experience of delivering security against project expectations
o Full awareness of industry best practice
o Excellent communication and planning skills are required for this role

 The nature of some of our work will mean that you will need to be eligible for, or already hold an appropriate level of UK Security Clearance. Whilst you will be based from one of our UK offices the nature of the role may necessitate expensed travel to client sites and other CGI offices as needed and this could include extended periods away as required. Desirable:
o Strong experience of Patch and Vulnerability management and governance
o Understanding of SOC/SIEM delivery and actions out of reporting
o Background in security testing to build a compliance state
o Application of innovative Security Assurance techniques and report production
o Security Change Management
o A good all round knowledge of core infrastructure and systems
o Experience of driving change in a complex environment.
