As an Architect at CGI you’ll join a team of over 200 Cyber Security professionals in the UK, working on major programmes where security is critical, including Defence Information Infrastructure, Police National Database, Galileo, and Smart Metering. We’re not tied to having to push particular security products, so this means that you’ll have the freedom to work closely with clients to develop appropriate design solutions to align with their security needs. In addition to being able to collaborate with our UK based consultants you’ll also have access to over 1200 Cyber Security professionals within CGI worldwide.
This will enable you to provide innovative security solutions fully focused and tailored to our client’s needs. Our Cyber team cover all aspects of security and provide our clients with a one stop shop for all their security needs. This means you'll be involved in true end to end security solutions and delivery, from concept through to operation. We also work across all sectors both public and private from Government to Oil and Gas, from Utilities to banking and finance.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
As a Security Architect with us you will consult on and design innovative solutions tailored to a deep understanding of our client's needs. You will advise our clients on the architecture of their secure business systems. You'll be the design authority on programmes of works collaborating across enterprise architectures to produce end-to-end security designs. Your knowledge and skills will be used to assist on bids, proposal for works, as well as on implementations and integrations. You will also be expected to represent us at senior stakeholder level and, as a Cyber Security expert, help to guide and influence our clients through their security issues to practical consultative solutions.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Demonstrable significant experience of consulting on, and the delivery of, secure system design and implementation, ideally as a technical security lead. All round technical security knowledge and able to explain the importance of why security must be part of everything our clients do. You should also be able to demonstrate a complete understanding of the relationship of risk and security in the design of IT security solutions.
An effective communicator, both written and orally and be adept at persuasively presenting and justifying secure architecture design solutions. You will be used to dealing with multiple client stakeholders both technical and non-technical and able to adapt your approach as required for your audience. Your technical knowledge and understanding should be evidenced with appropriate professional qualifications.
o In depth knowledge of government security standards and processes such as ISO27001 standards, CEF, Cyber Essentials, NIST & Cyber Essentials Plus, GDPR
o Secure Cloud based solutions
o Experience of delivering secure service solutions against project expectations
o Full awareness of industry best practice
o Excellent communication and planning skills are required for this role
Useful experience:
o Strong experience of Patch and Vulnerability management and governance
o Understanding of SOC/SIEM delivery and actions out of reporting
o Background in security testing to build a compliance state
o A good all round knowledge of core infrastructure and systems
o Experience of driving change in a complex environment.
