Cloud / DevOps Engineer - Space

Position Description:

This is an excellent opportunity for a DevOps engineer to join an exciting new Space project. The project uses an agile approach (Scrum, SAFe & DevSecOps) to solve a number of interesting problems for our clients using leading edge technologies such as big data, advanced analytics, machine learning and orbital dynamics.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with Ansible to join the our existing system team. Candidates should have a track record in Ansible, VMWare and Linux.
A track record in networking, Amazon Web Services, FreeIPA, RedHat OpenShift and PostgreSQL would be desirable but not essential as training can be provided if required. As a member of the system team you will be implementing our continuous integration and testing pipelines and onsite / cloud solutions. You will also provide specialist support to four scrum teams on the project including knowledge sharing and implementing best practice.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Excellent team working and communication skills are essential. The requirements, the technologies and the problems we will be solving can change at short notice. We need engineers who are pragmatic and delivery focused, who can adapt as situations evolve, who enjoy new experiences and always want to learn new things. A background in physics, astrophysics or other STEM discipline is desirable but not essential.

Core Technical track record in Ansible, VMWare and Linux is key.
