Azure Identity Customer Engineer

Vacancy Type: Contract (PAYE)

Location: Remote with some London travel

Duration: 18 month contract

Rate: Up to £550/day + expenses

 

Job Role:

• Key technical resource for the customer

• Focused on delivering proactive services such as education workshops, delivering assessments and providing expert guidance

• Join a highly motivated team of leading industry experts

• Visit customers to train them and share industry and development expertise

• Build strong customer relationships and ensure deliveries align with customer projects and milestones.

• Gain access to expertise and support from Microsoft’s consulting practice and product groups

• Continually learn and grow professionally

• Analyse problems

• Maintain, extend accreditations and certifications, assist in developing best practices for key technologies and products to support technical team readiness

• Demonstrate strong communication skills; ability to develop strategic ongoing customer relationships, gain trust and respect for Microsoft Premier. Engineers must also possess strong technical writing, presentation and training skills

 

Technical / Functional Skills:

• Broad knowledge of on-premises Microsoft products with deep understanding of (at least) one of the following; Azure Identity Management, Active Directory, Windows Server, Virtualization, Networking.

• Technical experience with hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, and technology management.

• 5+ years’ experience in systems development, network operations, software support, IT consulting

• Self-reliant and strong team player, working in a fast-paced environment where technology and customers' requirements can change regularly

• Understanding of Microsoft’s Modern IT Architecture and Strategy

• PowerShell\Scripting experience

Identity related requirements:

• Experience in designing and implementing Active Directory (and Azure Active Directory)

• Windows Server related requirements:

• Experience with virtualization (Hyper-V) platforms

• Networking (virtualization)

• Failover Clustering

• RDS\WVD

Knowledge of Azure:

• IaaS platform

• Infrastructure as Code

• Governance

• Azure Active Directory\ Identity Management

• Proven track record in successfully planning, deploying, operating, and optimizing on-premises environments

• Proven track record of building relationships with senior IT and business decision makers.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to explain complex topics in ways that can be understood by technical and business decision makers
